While you wait
Keep what matters while you are on a waiting list.
When history matters
Choose what is useful when meeting a new speech pathologist or teacher.
You do not need to keep everything. Just save the things you may want to find again.
How it works
The questions, small wins and hard moments rarely arrive when you have time to write them down. Save the ones you want to bring to your next conversation.
Keep the word, question or everyday moment you may want to bring up later, while you can still remember what happened.
Before an appointment, school conversation or handover, find the moments you chose instead of trying to remember everything in the room.
Choose which types of notes a connected practitioner can see. New notes can follow those settings; you can also make individual notes private.
The things that happen between appointments
It happens in the car, after school or when you are trying to get dinner on the table. Write or speak a quick note in your own words, then come back to it when you are ready.

More ways to use Gestalts
Companion is an educational tool about gestalt language processing (GLP). Storybook can help families turn a familiar interest, routine or transition into a visual story to share together. Both are optional.
GLP-specific · Companion
Ask for general information about gestalt language processing, reflect on what you have noticed, and keep a question to bring to your speech pathologist.
Educational information only. Companion does not assess your child or replace clinical advice.
Storybook
Create a parent-led visual story around interests, routines, transitions, or a social or safety concept you want to talk through.
Parent-created and supervised. Storybook is not therapy and does not promise a particular outcome.

Why we built it
Gestalts began with our family’s experience of gestalt language processing. We wanted an easier way to keep the small details, prepare our questions and talk with the people supporting our child.
That need is not limited to GLP families. The note-saving and appointment-preparation tools can be useful across many speech and communication journeys. GLP-specific learning tools are labelled clearly, so families can use the parts that fit.
Bring your speech pathologist in
With Connect, your speech pathologist can review the notes and summaries you choose to share. They keep control of clinical decisions, and their formal clinical records stay in their own system.
